Frequently Asked Questions

What if someone hits my vehicle and leaves a note?

Contact the person right away! Confirm their identity and get their insurance information.

If you parked at a business, contact them as soon as possible. Ask if you can get footage of the accident from their security cameras.

Get an auto collision repair estimate from Wades Auto Collision.

Submit auto body repair estimate to the person who left the note, their insurance company, or both.

Can I drive my vehicle from the location of the accident?

Only if you feel comfortable and only if the vehicle damage is minor. If the damage is major, you can have the vehicle towed to Wades Auto Collision. We will complete an auto body repair estimate.

Next, we'll schedule your repairs to get your vehicle back to "pre-accident" condition.

Be careful driving your vehicle. Your tires can go flat from a fender or another part of your car rubbing against them. Keep damaged parts from touching your tires or have your vehicle towed.

If your headlights or taillights are damaged be careful driving. Especially after dark!

If you’re comfortable driving your vehicle. Check there no parts are hanging off that could further damage it. Make sure there's no chance for parts to break free and damage another vehicle.

Can I get a ride home when I drop off my car?

We are happy to provide a ride if needed. Please let us know before your appointment to make sure we have a driver available.

When your repairs are complete, we can also pick you up!

Can you give me an estimate over the phone or from photos?

Sorry, we cannot. There are so many types of vehicles it's difficult to provide an accurate estimate.

It’s also very hard to determine the extent of a vehicle’s damage from a photo. We can only give an accurate quote when viewing the vehicle in person.

When do I pay my deductible?

Before we start the collision repairs, we ask customers to clarify how their insurance company plans to handle payments (i.e.: are they sending a check to the customer, the shop, the bank, etc.).
We collect deductibles after the auto body repairs are complete. You will have time to inspect the vehicle, and make sure you’re happy with our work!

Is my vehicle "totaled" if the frame is damaged?

There’s no way to know until we complete an estimate and inspection. You will submit this to your insurance company. They will decide if repair costs are greater than totaling your vehicle.

It’s common to repair or replace a damaged frame on newer vehicles. The only way to know for certain is to get an estimate from Wades Auto Collision.

Can you match the paint colors?

We guarantee our color match in all instances except plastic parts such as bumpers. The chemical process of drying and curing can affect plastics in different ways. We will do our best to get the closest match possible.

Even though we guarantee our color match. Paint colors will appear different when viewed from various angles. This is due to the variety of paint colors, body styles, and lines on newer vehicles.

Will my vehicle be the same?

Yes, we work to restore your vehicle to "pre-accident" condition. The only notable or allowable difference comes in the type of parts used. Whenever possible, we prefer to use factory OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts.

Unfortunately, insurance companies often insist on the use of aftermarket parts for cost-effectiveness. We are happy to discuss options to work around the use of aftermarket parts at our customer’s request.

Do you offer loaner vehicles?

We do not offer loaner vehicles at Wades Auto Collision. We don't sell new or used vehicles so we don't have loaners available.

"Most" insurance companies pay for a rental car while your vehicle is being repaired

What are "Betterment Charges?"

Betterment charges relate to insurance claims. When an insurance company replaces a specific wear item.

Insurance companies oftentimes will only pay a certain percentage of the replacement items. Examples are a tire, battery, or mechanical component.

An example would be. If you need a tire replaced that has used 40% of its tread. The insurance company will only pay for the remaining 60% of the tire’s useful life.

Took my car there to get hail damaged fixed. They had it looking brand new in just a short amount of time. Everybody that works there is super friendly and they gave me step by step on what they were doing with my car. I’d give more than 5 stars ⭐️ if I could!
